The project "Illustrated Letters" happens to be one of my favourite projects. I made this in 2010 at a time when I was interested in how individual letters can convey a narrative and exist independently without being used in the formation of words. It was very much rooted in how symbolism and abstraction can be used to make letters that stared homogeneity in the face and made it wince. The project led to my first solo exhibition in Lagos, Nigeria the year after at the Goethe, Institut.
