The Lagos Pattern Series is an ongoing body of work that's motivated by a desire to create pattern designs that are deeply rooted in the visual language present in the state and experiences and observations gotten from living and working in the state. This pattern design is inspired by the graphic design present in the city and some aspects of Emeka Ogbohs' sound art
They are meant to function as an alternative to the pattern designs designed and produced in Holland and marketed to the continent of Africa as 'African' patterns. It's a way of storytelling and owning the narrative in an important aspect of everyday life in the state.
